“The third most active regional market in the world”

“Pan-Arab audio-visual broadcasting advertising revenues are projected to grow at a CAGR of around 16% over the period 2006-2011”

“Satellite TV broadcasting and advertising are projected income are projected to keep growing strongly by reflecting market growth and by gaining market share from other media, particularly domestic broadcasters”

BE PART OF A HISTORIC EVENT, THE MEDIACC INITIATIVE: THE “GLOBAL MEDIA DIALOGUE OF CIVILISATIONS and CULTURES INITIATIVE”

“A broad-based expert-level “Conference on Fostering Dialogue among Cultures and Civilizations through Concrete and Sustained Initiatives” was held in Rabat, Morocco, from 14 to 16 June 2005 under the high patronage of His Majesty King Mohamed VI. Convened by six co-sponsoring organisations - UNESCO, OIC, ISESCO, ALECSO, the Danish Centre for Culture and Development and the Anna Lindh Euro-Mediterranean Foundation for the Dialogue between Cultures – and with the participation of the Council of Europe as observer, this event represents a unique international partnership initiative. It is aimed at identifying concrete and practical steps in various domains - based on a dialogue among civilisations, cultures and peoples - that the participating organisations pledged to pursue, jointly or individually, from 2006 onwards...”

THE RABAT COMMITMENT, Conclusions and Recommendations of the Rabat Conference on Dialogue among Cultures and Civilizations through Concrete and Sustained Initiatives; Rabat, Morocco: 14-16 June 2005.

The gathering resulted in several recommendations to be followed on in several domains including Media and Communication.

In order to bring these recommendations and others into reality, we propose to launch MEDIACC INITIATIVE, the “GLOBAL MEDIA DIALOGUE OF CIVILISATIONS and CULTURES INITIATIVE”.

Similarly with the Global Media AIDS Initiative, MEDIACC is founded on the Principle that mass media companies worldwide – with their communication power, programming resources, and creative talent – represent formidable allies in any effort to promote the Dialogue of Civilizations and Cultures. As powerful business and community leaders, the media can help keep the issue at the top of the policy agenda.

Chairmen and Executives of World TV Channels will be gathering with Presidents of International Organizations to set the effective commitments underlying this initiative.
